Bio

Ann studies with Bonny Leibowitz of Dallas, TX and JulieSchumer of Santa Fe, NM, has attended classes at

Brookhaven College, Dallas, TX and has worked with Suzanne Jacquot of Sebastopol CA.

She was a resident artist with the Ellison Valencia Gallery in the Bishop Arts District of Dallas in 2020 and 2021.

 

Her work draws on the qualities of work by Mark Rothkoand Agnes Martin, the mark-making of Cy Twombly and

Joan Mitchell and the bold shapes of Franz Kline andAntoni Tapies.

 

Ann Margolin is a resident of Dallas, TX. She grew up inCranford, New Jersey and received a BS and MA in

Communication from Northwestern University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. She has spent many

years as a business owner and community leader having served on the Dallas City Council where she chaired the

Arts, Culture and Libraries committee. She also served on the Dallas Park and Recreation Board and Chaired the

Parkland Hospital Board and other civic boards. She was a co-founder of Intercon General Agency and has been

involved in real estate and other investments. She has received numerous awards for her public service including

the Distinguished Alumni Award from Leadership Dallas and the Susan B. Anthony Award from the League of

Women Voters.
